This master file is only optional, update this only if you want to group your related accounts different from the FACE grouping.
The Chart Of Accounts - SL Group master file is used to group the chart of accounts based on related SLs. Example: Your chart of accounts may have 1) A/R - Trade, 2) A/R - Retention Fess, 3) A/R - Billed, 4) A/R - Unbilled. You can group these four related accounts into one A/R - Clients so you can generate one consolidated SL.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Open Cenral Menu
2. Select System->GL
3. Double-click Master Files -> Chart Of Accounts - SL Group. You will be redirected to Chart Of Accounts - SL Group tab window.
4. Review and update the records.
5. Click Save. You can update this file from time to time.
